The Town of Bennett is launching an essential utility project to improve sanitary sewer systems and upgrade concrete infrastructure within our community. Beginning the week of June 30, 2025, residents will notice crews working along Second Street and Truman Avenue, with expected completion by July 30, 2025. Work hours will be Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The primary focus of the project includes:
- Installation of a new sanitary sewer line along Second Street and Truman Avenue
- Concrete restoration and roadway improvements on Second Street
During the project, there will be periodic road closures in the immediate construction area. However, residents will retain access to homes and driveways throughout the project duration. We kindly ask that everyone follow posted detour signs and respect all construction signage.
To help streamline the construction process, we ask residents to avoid street parking on:
- Second Street
- Truman Avenue
- Roosevelt Avenue
Removing parked vehicles from the work zone will allow crews to work more efficiently and keep the project on schedule.
